With the dawn of the 17th Century, the British had almost tightened its grip over most of India. However there were some pockets of the Portuguese influence still holding to its roots. These inhabitants although under the Portuguese influence, kept their original culture alive. After the British took over a new culture was born, yes The East-Indian culture!!
The East-Indians developed a wonderful fusion of culture. A cultural fusion of their original customs & beliefs, while absorbing some from west. The East-Indian food has a rich culinary culture as well. Food prepared from any East-Indian home has its own distinctive flavor.
Today, lets get familiar to one such kitchen from Kirol, Vidyavihar West.
